DIY Project and a FUN weekend!

This weekend was full of FUN! Friday and Saturday I had a booth for my Vintage Couture kids clothing line! Everything is 65% off right now so be sure to take a look! Click Here to see the collection! It's amazing stuff for BOYS and Girls! You can't beat 65% OFF! A lot of sizes sell out when the season starts but it's worth checking!!

Today Presley went to his little friend Caden's 2nd BIRTHDAY! Caden is one of the sweetest little boys I know and Presley was so excited to go today, haha. Okay, okay he didn't totally understand but he did laugh a lot so he had fun :) Here is P putting his feet in the water at the indoor water park!

Heather, Caden's mom had a baby 5 DAYS ago for a wonderful couple who tried for years. She did the most amazing thing anyone could ever do! So she had a baby 5 days ago and the day after she was going out to eat and was back to normal. She's super woman. She even looks amazing ad it hasn't even been a week! Look at the adorable cake SHE MADE for his Birthday! "Caden's Cookie Jar" because he LOVES cookies. So cute!

I'm also starting a new DIY project. Do you have TONS of jewelry and you don't know what to do with it? If you're like me, mine is in bags, hanging in random places and really just scattered everywhere. I am going to make one of these!

I love the twig look! I'll post pics soon :)

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

DIY Projects Galore!

Okay, call me crazy, but the other day I saw an estate sale sign and I had to follow...

Shane thinks I am crazy for liking yard sales. Sure, most of them are full of junk and a waste of time. BUT you never know what you will find. Example: This blog post!

I found 3 items and spent $5.00! I got an old ugly window and two really neat vinatge lanterns. They just needed to be dusted off, wasp nests taken out of the top and scrubbed a little. Best $3 purchase I've made in a long time.

Now for the real project. I always have tons of ideas running through my head and this one actually came to fruition! I bought an old window for $2, he was going to just throw it away if it didn't sell. I took it home and immediately started my project. The first thing I did was clean it and sand off the chipped old paint.

Next, I taped off the windows and used some paper I had (I didn't have any painter's tape handy)

After a little spray paint and peacock feathers I already had, the old window is now glamorous and has a new home!

VOILA!!!!

Presley Update:

He got his first scratch yesterday :( He did it in his sleep. Even though this momma keeps his nails short it still happened. BOO! I know it's no big deal, but everything that happens with him is a HUGE deal! Haha

Just Do It Yourself

I'm still fixing my blog up so disregard the way it is unorganized. I recently decided that I wanted to take an old mirror that was my grandma's and use it in my kitchen. Shane never thought I would actually use it because it was so old and it needed a lot of work. I love the mirror because my grandma had it ever since I can remember, and I would always look at myself in it when I went in the dining room. I always loved it and I know she would love what I did with it. I should have taken a picture of it before I painted it...but oh well. You will get the idea. I used Valspar paint and the rest is history, lol. Here's a few pics :)

Today we headed to the neighborhood pool for the first time with Heather and her adorable kiddo's. We had a great time and can't wait to go back! I was so surprised how awesome the pool was. Next time I'm going down the slide, lol.

Caden had to do what big sis did constantly. It was hilarious (see pic below)

SHARRRRRRRK!!!!!

Cailee was so cold when she got out, she decided to sun bathe :)

To end the day we went to pick up our dining room table but we only left with the chairs. Tomorrow we will have it and our dining room will finally have furniture! Pics to come :)
