Christmas!!!!!

Christmas is this week!!!! We have so many things to be thankful for! Especially Presley who will be here in about 7 weeks CrAzY! Last night he had the hiccups for the first time (that I could feel at least). It was super cute and it kept making me laugh. I just can't wait until he's HERE and I will have a little buddy up at all hours of the night with me. I'm up now just by myself and it gets pretty boring. I would NEVER wake up Shane...I will let Presley do that :)

We had our Dr.s appointment yesterday and we found out Presley has hair!! We got a picture of it and it makes me laugh when I look at it. If he's anything like his daddy, he will be a little mini chia pet :)
We have lots of Christmas festivities this week. Starting with the Robertson Tire Christmas Party, then the Robertson Christmas, my family Christmas and the Hartman Family Christmas (Shane's mom's side). This is the time of year when I am thankful we don't both have huge familiess because I don't know how we would do it all! Luckily it works out nicely. I've already posted pics of the nursery on facebook but I am just SO EXCITED about it! It's my favorite room in our house! Check it out :)

I am proud of myself and my hubby for doing everything except for the bedding and drapes. His Grandma did those and we are SO THANKFUL! I could look at these pics all day...

I had Urban Belly pics done a few weeks ago by the amazing Dale and Meredith and can't wait to see them! I haven't bugged them about when they will be done but I can't wait!!!!

I pretty much have baby/nesting brain and will be going out the day after Christmas to get some plastic bins and storage stuff. We will be moving in 2011 after the baby comes and I might as well start getting everything organized.

I'm also excited about New Years! It's our nephews first birthday and then we are going to hang out with some friends that night to ring in the new year. Not sure what we are going to do, but whatever we do it will be fun!

Third Trimester and Thanksgiving!!!

Wow! I can't believe I am in my 3rd Trimester now! It has been going so fast but I am enjoying it. I'm not real uncomfortable or anything yet so Thank God for that :) We had a great Thanksgiving today with my family. My mom can cook like no ones business. I got so full, I can't even imagine eating again...for at least an hour or so :) Since today is Thanksgiving there is just so much Shane and I are thankful for. The biggest thing that comes to mind is our precious little baby who will make his apperance around Valentine's Day! I can't even describe how much I already love him. I can't WAIT until I get to see hima and hold him and kiss his face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also can't wait for the heart burn to go away, lol. They say that it means the baby is growing hair so who knows...maybe he will have a lot of hair. I wonder every day what he will look like. I just know he's gonna be the cutest baby on earth! Our first shower is next Sunday and I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm also finishing the nursery and will post pics soon. Here's a little sneak peek of Pres to brighten your day. He has some kissable lips that's for sure :)

The end :)

Do It Yourself Projects :)

This weekend marks a lot of things! I am now 26 weeks and 1 day along in my pregnancy. It is going by so fast! I am feeling great and really enjoying everything right now. I got a sewing machine FINALLY and belive it or not, I have been teaching myself how to sew! I am really proud of myself because I have always wanted to learn. I can now thread the machine. make bobbins and all that jazz. Trust me I still have a lot of learning still, haha. Shane was gone this weekend and it was a perfect time to dive into projects. I've been looking for Christmas pillows lately and haven't found any that I love. I kept seeing place mats I loved though and thought "can I make these into a pillow?" Might sound weird but I did it and they look GREAT! At least I love them :) I will now be doing this a lot in the future. I found some really cute place mats and here is the price breakdown:
Place Mats- $2.00 each (I bought 2, one for each chair)
Pillow from Walmart- $2.50
I spent a total of $6.50 on my pillows for our porch! I bought the cheapest pillow I could find at Walmart,  cut it open and used the stuffing to stuff my place mats.

The placemats have a white/silver shimmer where you see white :)

Next, I used my seam ripper and opened up one of the edges on each mat

Next, I stuffed the mat and then used a needle and thread to stitch up the seam by hand and TADA!

I did the same thing with some really cute leopard print santa place mats I have had for like 4 years.

Now these are cute pillows in our living room :)

After I finished this project i started experimenting with onesies for Presley. The first one I made wasn't the best stiching...

A neat red one I made

I made the next one because Presley will either be here on Valentine's Day or before if he decides to make his arrival before, haha. He will be the cutest little Cupid ever. I mainly want this for cute pics :)
The front...

The back...

Im gonna make the Cupid design on other colors of onesies/shirts as well. I think that's enough craftiness for one day on the blog. I am just starting so who knows what I will come up with this week!

6 Months and Counting!!

It's hard to believe I'm now 6 months into my pregnancy!! I have been so busy but it's time to update. I'm feeling great and Presley is moving around like crazy now. I can just stare at my tummy sometimes and watch him move around lol. It's just such an amazing experience, words can't even describe. I just want to meet him, stare at him and hold him :) I'm definitely falling asleep earlier now but I wake up at like 4:30-5:00 every day. I have no idea why, but that's just how it is right now. I also haven't gained a lot of weight yet which is weird because I eat all the time. My mom was the same way and they say you follow after your mom. I know the weight will start rollin' in anytime though haha.

We have finally started to get things done for the nursery! I am a huge planner and I can't imagine waiting until the last minute to get things done, so off we go. The chandelier arrived TODAY! Here is a pic :)

I found several online and then Shane picked the final one :) It's completely white so I'm really excited!
I went to Dallas yesterday with my MIL and we found all of the fabric for the nursery! Now our bedding will be made and then of course I will post pics :) Shane's Grandma is making our bedding and everything. We are so lucky that she is going to do it. I mean how special is that?! I also have a goal for myself this week. I am getting my sewing machine out and I'm gonna start learning as I go. I have too many ideas for Presley, I just have to learn...like now.

When we were looking for cribs, I just couldn't find one that had the total package. Finally, I found a crib I loved but it still needed my touch heehee :) Here is a picture of the applique I bought and painted to match the crib. (The pic quality is horrible...better pics will come later)

Today I went with my mom and ordered our chair and ottoman. Anyone that has shopped for babies has probably felt the dot fabric that is extremely soft...that's what the chair and ottoman are made out of! I don't think I will ever move from it when we get it haha.

The next step is meeting with a really nice girl this who is going to do some artwork for his room. She is also going to decorate the mobile I am making, that will hang from the ceiling over his bed!! I'm realllllllllly excited about it. I will definitely post pics when she is done with everything.

A few more pics of some new owl themed items I am getting for Pres...

Off to Dallas We Go!!

This week has been plum crazy! We are finally done with all the house renovations and we had some great friends over for dinner on Wednesday. I've wanted to have people over for a while but with things being done it was kind of impossible, but not anymore!! Our dining room was full of things from our office while it got painted annnow the office is done, painted and the desk was put together!! I will post pics of the office soon...we love it :) We are finally able to just focus on the nursery and decorating it now. We just found our crib and things are coming together. We're headed to Dallas today to go pick out fabrics for the nursery!! I can't wait!

I'm excited about the colors we have chosen...not the typical brown and blue most people do. I'll post pics of fabrics soon too. Presley is moving around more and more every day. Shane finally felt him move on Monday :) it's still a little hard to feel it from the outside but he felt it and it was sweet :)I get more and more excited every day! I'm really excited I'm having a boy because I LOVE fishing, horses, and all the fun things that little boys love. Now I'll have someone to do that stuff with! My dad also has a nickname picked out "Elvis" haha. I think it's adorable and anyone that knows my nickname from my dad knows that Presley got off easy! He's already got Presley a cotton candy machine so I hope he likes candy! Haha :)

My crafty side has been exposed!!!

Yesterday was our half-way point appointment to see baby Presley :) He's growing right on track! I am just amazed at how he already has such a cute little face. See what I mean?!?! He already melts my heart. I'm starting to feel him move around but it's still a little to early for Shane to feel it. We were at dinner tonight and I felt him move...it still scares right when it happens, because I'm not used to it yet hahaha.

I am an avid follower of the TV show The View and today they talked about God and creation. How in the world could someone think that "science" is behind creating the world?? God created everything and there is no way I could be carrying such an amazing gift if it wasn't a GOD THING!! I could go on and on but I will stop for now.

On this pic he was being bashful and didn't want his picture taken...it's neat though because you can see his little ribs :)

Being pregnant has made me really get into my craft zone. I have always loved making things but now it is in overdrive and I love it! I made a really cute little Halloween display from scratch for our porch today and also a wreath!!! See below!

A close up of the crow and spider :)

Here's the wreath hanging on our front door...

Last, but not least, we have FINALLY moved all of our furniture around and we are really happy with how it all came together.  We just got a new TV and a desk that Shane is currently putting together...tick tock tick tock heehee :) We had an armoire I found at an antique store and had it repainted white with a little distressing on it so it looks vintage. We are going to do all white furniture because I think it just looks classic and "baby chic". You can't really tell the distressed look in the pic but you will get the idea. We can hang some of Presley's clothes in it because it holds baby hangers :) YAY!!!!

OKC How I Love Thee

I'm in Oklahoma City for the AWG Holiday Show tomorrow. My dad and I set up our booth today and I am really excited about how it turned out. Take a look!

I had all of the signs made and they turned out great!! The other equipment dealers don't have half of what our booth has so I feel like it is a success!! This place is going to be CrAzY tomorrow. The distributors for everything from Bounty Towels, Febreeze, Smart Chicken, Kraft, Pepsi, I mean if it's in a grocery store it's here. I'm excited to meet a bunch of grocery store owners and people who are in charge of the buying for them. I know my dad is looking forward to seeing some of his friends. Today has been a really fun day with my dad!! I'm excited about where things are going with me helping my dad.

We went and ate at Chelino's tonight. It's my favorite mexican restaurant and it tasted just like it always does. Amazing :)

To top things off, the last client I sold a house to just called and wants me to list his house! He already got a new job offer in Kansas City and they are moving back up there. So Sunday I will have another listing! Things are going great!!!

Never Let Your Prayin' Knees Get Lazy

I heard one of my favorite songs today "Love Like Crazy". I always sing like a rockstar when I'm in the car and it was cranked up LOUD. I just love everything about it. Maybe not the six kids part that reminds me of The Duggers haha. This song always makes me feel so thankful for what I have and makes me want to take chances and do things that maybe I wouldn't have before. Just thought I would share :)

I listened to Presley's little heartbeat today...I just love the sound, there's nothing like it. Shane and I have been discussing colors for the nursery...he wants blue/orange and green. It sounds a little crazy but who knows. I'm planning on going to Dallas with my mom and mom-in-law hopefully next month to pick out fabrics. After that, we will get the bedding made and of we go! Tonight I cleaned out a bunch of drawers and I can't believe how much junk was in them. I'm selling some stuff because I've always heard "one mans trash is another mans treasure" haha.

Tomorrow I leave for OKC for an over night trip with my dad. I'm excited to see what's in store for us Thursday at the Trade Show! Tomorrow is just setting up so it won't take very long.

Last but not least, a little fun to help me remember this time :)

Football Fever!!!!

College football is FINALLY here!!! I must say, I love the Razorbacks but my heart will always be with the SOONERS on game day. Shane and I headed down to Fayetteville yesterday for the game and had a great time. We went and ate lunch at my favorite restaurant Loafin' Joes! I was making noise while I was eating I loved it so much, LOL. I can't help it, being pregnant makes you either REALLY want a certain food or it makes you nauseous at the sight of something. Speaking of restaurants, I am really excited to be helping my dad do the Associated Wholesale Grocery trade show on Thursday. I'm sure reading this you have no idea what that means. Basically any grocery store (Reasor's, Food Pyramid, Homeland, Harps, Buy For Less...just to name a few) go through AWG when they decide to build a store. They supply all of the food, equipment needed etc. That is where my dads company comes in. We sell all of the bakery, deli, kitchen equipment needed. My dad has a long standing relationship with AWG and they asked him to be in the show for free! My dad wasn't going to do it because he's already busier than he can almost handle, but I jumped on the chance to take it over and show my dad what I can do. It's the perfect opportunity for me to build some relationships and get some clients of my own. I've always helped him with things when he needs me, but I'm starting to be way more hands on. Even though my dad started the company in 1972 he never really had an official logo he used on everything. Now he does :) Below is the logo I had created for the business.

I also have one in white as well :) We have shirts, signage, handouts etc. Everything is ready to go for Thursday! I'm excited to meet a bunch of grocery store owners and get some new business!

On the baby front, we are having a garage sale on Friday and Saturday to clear out even more junk. How I accumulate so much stuff I don't know but it happens. We are doing some remodeling and moving some rooms around after the garage sale is over. We can't wait! I'm 4 months along now and it has flew by. Crazy!!

John Mayer Concert!

We just got home from the John Mayer concert. He has the most amazing voice HOWEVER my B (Britney) puts on the best show I have ever seen. Tonight was Presley's first concert, lol. He's probably gonna love John Mayer which is okay with me :) The book I'm reading says by week 16 the baby can hear, so I bet he wondered where in the world he was. We went to the concert with MP, Chad, Kara and Jared. It was a fun night! We went to Baxter's, our usual spot before concerts. We always park there and just walk to the BOK. It beats paying and it's only like a 5-10 minute walk.

Tomorrow is the first ARKANSAS game!! We are heading out bright and early! I am even more excited because we get to go eat at my absolute FAVORITE place Loafin' Joe's. I can't even put into words how much I love this place. I really am obsessed. Bye for now.

It's raining, it's pouring, I wish I was snoring...

Well, it's raining outside and I wish I could sleep. I'm only 4 months pregnant but I already can't sleep good. Not because of my stomach, I just toss and turn and Shane goes crazy. Anyone that knows my hubs knows that when he gets in his sleepy zone, it's downhill from there. Last night I was watching TV in bed and he just said"I gotta go to the other room" I quickly said "OK" and I don't think he was expecting that LOL. I've always been a night owl, and even though I'm married that just isn't something I can change. We really need a solution so any advice would be great! It says on my list of medicines that I could take Tylenol PM but there is NO WAY I would do that. I can't imagine making Presley fall asleep because of that. Since it's raining tonight hopefully I will fall asleep faster. Doubtful. Last night when I was in bed, I felt the WEIRDEST thing and I think it was the baby! It's still not time to really feel him a lot but I definitely did.

Also, our precious nephew Jude just had some pictures done. He is the cutest kiddo! Take a look :)

Presley and Jude are going to be best buds and will probably be on the same sports teams together...you get the point. They will be attached at the hip and there's no other baby I would rather it be than little Jude.

On a different note, John Mayer is tomorrow night!!! I am excitedaboutit!! I heart him and love every single song he sings. I've always said John Mayer and George Strait are the only two people that can sit with a guitar and have people mesmerized. It's not about the "show" with them. It's about the music.

Oh Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy!!!!!

Wow, it has been way too long since I wrote a post I have had several people comment and say that they love reading it and this whole time I didn't think anyone really did. A lot has happened...we are having a BOY!!!!! We are both super excited!!! I have always wanted a boy and of course Shane did (what guy doesn't want a boy to carry on the name?!). The doctor asked Shane if he "pinned the tail on the donkey" right before we found out (meaning did you make a boy), lol and he sure did! There was no denying it :) His name will be Presley Trace Robertson and I'm in LOVE with the name! Cutest name ever in my opinion, lol. It's funny because my mom came up with Presley and Mark (Shane's dad) randomly came up with Trace when we were all swimming one day. I have to say it is unique and perfect.

We decided we are going to do an owl theme for the nursery. I am super excited and I can't wait to start decorating! Okay, okay I already have started but I mean REALLY start. My grandma always loved owls and for some reason it popped in my head when I was looking on Etsy. To give you an idea, here is what one of the pillows looks like for the crib. This one has it's eyes closed like it's sleeping, the other two we are getting have eyes opened :)

Also, I found a vintage owl necklace over the weekend when I was "treasure hunting" as I call it.

Last but not least for this post is an AMAZING handmade owl purse-type thingy-ma-jig that my mom-in-law got me in San Francisco!! I am in love and I will be using it to put diapers/wipes in my diaper bag :)

Here is to having a good night and me promising to post on a regular basis.

Branson. Ugh.

Well where should I begin... Shane, myself, Ricky and Jessica headed to Branson this weekend. We were excited to get to the house and just RELAX. I've had a horrible cold the past few days, lost my voice and it's slowly coming back. Being pregnant means you can't really take much when you feel sick, so I am just waiting for it to pass and taking only what the Dr. said I could.

As soon as we got to the house it was 96 degrees in the house!!! The ac wasn't working and the temperature continued to climb. To make a looooooooooong story short someone came over, couldn't fix it and got us a hotel room down the road. The hotel was one-of-a-kind. The room was so hot and the mattress felt like they picked a rock up on the side of the road and placed it in the room and called it a bed. I slept horribly and meanwhile I'm pregnant and hotter than Haiti. I don't think you can really understand how I feel unless you have been/or are pregnant. I'm already hotter than a fried green tomato daily, and when there's no cold air I am just a basket case. It's the worst situation.

The night turned out better because I surprised the hubby with a Doppler and we got to listen to little Robertson's heartbeat. Going strong at 165 :) I'm just grateful we don't have to go without ac because I know there's a lot of people that do.

Today we went to Dixie Stampede and I loved it! Shane of course thought it was kind of dumb, but he loved the food. About that...you eat with your hands and they give everyone their own chicken. The waitress placed it on my plate and I became a vegetarian for the meal. You could see the feet and arms and it was like it walked onto my plate. GROSS! I couldn't help but notice the poor chickens butt hole so it was downhill from there. I loved the show though because I LOVE horses. I used to have them and it was one of my favorite childhood memories :) They're my favorite animal.

We are having a great trip though despite all the setbacks. We are back at the house and it's cooler now, so here's to a good night!

xoxo-

A fun weekend was had by all...

This weekend was a lot of fun! We went to Doe's on Friday with my parents to celebrate Shane's birthday! My mom is one of the funniest people I know and she LOVED the food. She told the owner how good the food was at the end and he said "I could tell" because she makes funny faces when she loves her food, LOL. Shane got some clothes from Banana so he was very happy and my mom and I ran into Reasor's and bought a little cake. No birthday is complete without blowing out candles in my opinion :)

Last night we went and saw SALT. It was way better than I thought it would be. It kept me on the edge of my seat and Angelina Jolie is just GORGEOUS. If you like action movies I would recommend it! We went to dinner before the movie at Hideaway with Adam & Sami. We are so excited that they just moved back to Tulsa! We love having married friends :) They introduced us to Orange Leaf after the movie and it was a.m.a.z.i.n.g. to say the least. They have 16 flavors of frozen yogurt and a huge topping bar. You pay by the ounce so it is pretty cheap! We will be making this part of our routine now :)

Today we went to church at GUTS. We absolutely LOVE this church and are excited we found our church home. We are excited about all of the people we will meet there!! I'm excited to get more involved once we join. We went to lunch with Shane's parents for his birthday and then had a fun day swimming and trying to come up with some baby names haha. That's all for now, I gotta take a nap :)

Last post on Chicago!!

Our trip to Chicago was WAY more fun than I ever thought it would be. I wish we lived there. The picture above is from Shane's birthday dinner at Gibson's. They had the most amazing double baked potato...so yummy. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We went up to the top of the John Hancock Tower to see the view ad it was gorgeous!!

Navy Pier was really neat. All we wanted was ice cream and every stand was out of it!

Dinner at Fire Place Inn

View from our boat ride

Transformers being filmed!

On the river

Giuliana Rancic!!!!! I freaked out!

My favorite place in Chicago a Millenium Park

During our 2 mile walk...Shane lied about how far it was.

At the aquarium :)

Would I go back to Chicago?? ABSOLUTELY! Next time it will be the 3 of us!!!!!
