Happy Hump Day

This will be short and sweet.

Today was going to be a pretty laid back day until I got a call from Sami. She wanted Presley to come to Cherry Berry (where she works in corporate) and have him in a photo for their cookies-n-cream flavor. They are changing the name to Cookie Monster and they had him covered in Oreos. It was the CUTEST thing! He did so good and I was a very proud mama! I am just more and more amazed every day at how amazing he is. I feel so blessed that he is mine and that I get to be with him 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Being a mom is by far the most amazing thing I could ever ask for in life. Presley is laughing now and has such a personality. Today after we left Cherry Berry I went by my friend Heather's to drop some things off to her. She has two little kids and they were playing with Presley and he was laughing and was just the sweetest little boy. Cailee, Heather's little girl Cailee calls him Pres-a-ley and it's so stinkin' cute.

I'm really getting into blogging and hopefully I will get better as the time goes on, haha. Have a good night!

Play Date & Recipe...A Good Combination!

This morning started off great because IT RAINED!! I LOVE the rain so when Presley was asleep I decided to take a siesta myself and listen to the rain. My best friend Jennie came over with her two adorable  babies for a play date! Jentrie who is 2 1/2 and Trinity who is 2 months. Presley had the best time playing with Jentrie and she LOVED him. It was adorable. We talked about everything under the moon and talked about all things baby of course.

Presley had so much fun and fell asleep as they were walking out the door. Literally.

I also want to share a quick recipe. My friend Sarah brought us the most amazing cake last week (because I had made her fam dinner and she was bringing my dish back) and it is now something I'm going to make for all of our family gatherings. Here it is:

Pina Colada Cake
- yellow cake mix
- 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can of coco lopez
- cool whip

Bake yellow cake mix as directed and let cool. Poke holes all over cake with a fork. In a bowl mix a can of sweetened condensed milk and a can of coco lopez then pour over cake!

When you are serving the cake put cool whip on top not before :) I promise it will blow your mind!

A NEW D.I.Y. PROJECT!!

First off, if this isn't your first time to my blog PLEASE PLEASE go under my followers tab on the right and "FOLLOW" my blog. Even if you're not a blogger yourself you can still follow it. I have over 3,000 page views but  only a few followers because I don't think people even know about it. It's easy! Thanks in advance :)

I haven't been this excited about a "DO IT YOURSELF" project in a long time! You know how when you were younger you could envision certain things in your house growing up? For instance, there was a picture of some random bunnies at my parents house when I was little and for some reason I remember it. Probably because I saw it all the time. Because of this, I decided to try this new project for Presley! Yes, I love it myself, lol because I think it's cute! The real reason for this though is so that Presley will know good things to do and good ways to act when he gets a little older. Sure, he's only 4 months old right now BUT by the time he can talk, he will be familiar with it and it will be a memory he has of our house at this time in his life. It's also characteristics that he will want to have because he's a Robertson :) I should have put "be as sarcastic as you could ever dream or imagine" lol because I'm sure he will take after daddy on that ha ha :)

Here are the materials I used:

-canvas
-Paint (for canvas border)
-Paint Pen (black looks and shows up best)
-scrapbook paper
-scissors
-Glue stick
-Mod Podge

How To: First paint the canvas border whatever color you want. After that dries cut strips of paper out to go across the canvas. You will have to glue to separate pieces together to get the paper long enough. Once you cut paper you can use fun scissors to make the bottoms have texture. You might be able to see what I mean in my pics. Next, glue the strips down on the entire canvas. After that, use the paint pen and write whatever your little heart desires :) The last step is to mod podge the canvas once everything dries. Then voila!

I found the perfect spot near our kitchen table in a corner. Take a look!

This was the first one I have made and I will be making more!!

On another note, I found the CUTEST little rattle shoes when I was running errands last night. Only $3!! Presley loves hearing them when he kicks his little legs. He is just toooooooooooooooooo much fun :)

Today Was Cra Cra

Today was a day I would call Cra Cra aka CRAZY. It was a great day but just a full schedule. We had a wedding and a birthday party to attend. This might not sound like much but with a 4 month old it was a lot. Presley would get tired and I know he just wanted to be snuggled up with me where it was quiet and he could have sweet dreams. He did great though and I think I was the one getting stressed. It's funny how much your thinking changes when you have a bambino. Now, I don't even care about what I have planned or need to do...it's all on Presley Time :)

When we got home we played and I did peek-a-boo with him for the first time. I used a little security blanket he has and he just giggled forever. It was the cutest! He also finally discovered his toes and is mesmerized by them now. For some reason I have had a fascination with his toes since he was born. I seriously think they are the cutest things I have ever seen. Sometimes when I'm feeding him I just stare in amazement. Sometimes I can't believe Shane and I created him and even his little toes. Mom's out there know I'm not Cra Cra :)

This is a short post but I'm headed to work on my Family Value's thingy-ma-bob that I will probably post about tomorrow when I finish!

The Table That Could...

Today was exciting because we got our dining room table!! It has to be the heaviest piece of glass known to man. It almost broke into a million little pieces coming through the front door but the guys did great! There's still no other decor but you will get an idea. Here's a few picks.

Tonight we had Jessica over for dinner and had a great time. Since Ricky just left the country for Afghanistan it's the least we could do. Presley has a little crush on her, lol. He couldn't stop staring at her. I made the most delish crock pot drip beef today. I wish I could say it's my recipe but I got it from a good friend. Here it is:

2-3 lb roast
1 1/2-2 cartons of beef stock (enough to cover roast)
Swiss Cheese
Kaiser Rolls
3 packages of beefy onion soup mix
1 tablespoon of paprika
1 teaspoon of celery salt
salt and pepper to taste

Cook in crockpot all day on low or on high for 5-6 hours. Once it's done, pour over kaiser roll and let swiss cheese melt to perfection. Viola! It makes enough for a few days and it's even delish as leftovers. I never eat left overs except for pizza and cold chicken so that's sayin' something!

Hopefully tomorrow I can get started on a new little DIY project :)

Just Do It Yourself

I'm still fixing my blog up so disregard the way it is unorganized. I recently decided that I wanted to take an old mirror that was my grandma's and use it in my kitchen. Shane never thought I would actually use it because it was so old and it needed a lot of work. I love the mirror because my grandma had it ever since I can remember, and I would always look at myself in it when I went in the dining room. I always loved it and I know she would love what I did with it. I should have taken a picture of it before I painted it...but oh well. You will get the idea. I used Valspar paint and the rest is history, lol. Here's a few pics :)

Today we headed to the neighborhood pool for the first time with Heather and her adorable kiddo's. We had a great time and can't wait to go back! I was so surprised how awesome the pool was. Next time I'm going down the slide, lol.

Caden had to do what big sis did constantly. It was hilarious (see pic below)

SHARRRRRRRK!!!!!

Cailee was so cold when she got out, she decided to sun bathe :)

To end the day we went to pick up our dining room table but we only left with the chairs. Tomorrow we will have it and our dining room will finally have furniture! Pics to come :)

Okay, Okay, Okay...

I am in the middle of redoing my blog so it might look weird. There's just not enough hours in the day. So lately, I have become a crazy picture taking mom. Yep, I am that girl. I can't help it though. My baby just get's cuter every second and I have to have the memories! I have decided to start posting more pictures on here instead of Facebook all the time. That way, people that come to my blog WANT to see them and on Facebook not everyone cares. I mean, I don't even really know some people I'm friends with, lol. So here are a few pictures I took at the impromptu shoot in our backyard yesterday! He makes such serious faces and it cracks me up. I can't WAIT until he can sit up on his own. For now we rely on the "boppy" haha :)

He LOVES making bubbles...

I love this...

A serious face, lol

We're starting to drool and chew on our hands. Next up TEETHING!

So that's a few of my favorites :) Tomorrow will be a fun day. We have a play date at the pool and then we get to go pick up our new dining room table!!! I will post pics of it tomorrow and the funny story behind it.
